Pune: The online registrations for the fifth edition of Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics will commence from today.
This year schools from Pune city and Pune district will be able to register through the online platform.
After completing four editions garnering tremendous response from various schools, Sakal Media Group is back with the fifth edition of Mapro Schoolympics 2019, one of the biggest inter-school sports compeition.
All the action will unfold in the months of November and December.
Schools can log on to www.schoolympics.com or schoolympics-pranav.eaariacloud.com to complete the registration process.
It is mandatory for schools which have participated last year to call the helpline number for registration.
The schools will then be given a login id and password which will help the schools to complete their registrations online.
All the details regarding the registrations process is available on the website www.schoolympics.com.
All the schools (old and new) will have to complete the primary registration before August 10, post which the player registration will start. The last date for complete registration is August 31.
The latest editon of the event will witness students battle it out in 22 sporting disciplines which includes 15 individual and 7 team sports.
In the team sports, boys and girls in the age group of Under-10 and Under-16 will participate.
Meanwhile in the individual sports, there will be three age groups which include Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16.
The team sports events include Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-kho and Volleyball while the individual events will have Badminton, Boxing, Gymnastics, Judo, Taekwondo, Athletics, Skating, Tennis, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Shooting, Archery, Chess and Cycling.
A total of 2359 medals stand to be won which include 731 gold, 731 silver and 897 bronze medals.
