Raghuwanshi, Arora enter last 4 stage

In the quarterfinals, it was a one-sided affair for Hasan Badami of Mumbai who defeated Abhishek Bora 5-0. In the first and third frame Hasan didn’t give a single point to Abhishek Bora as he dominated proceedings.

PUNE: Hasan Badami, Mukund Bharadia, Anand Raghuwanshi and Shivam Arora scored wins against their respective opponents to enter the last four stage in the Cue Club Masters Open Ranking Snooker Championship being played at The Q Club tables, Vimannagar on Tuesday.

In the quarterfinals, it was a one-sided affair for Hasan Badami of Mumbai who defeated Abhishek Bora 5-0. In the first and third frame Hasan didn’t give a single point to Abhishek Bora as he dominated proceedings.

In the nail-biting match, Mukund Bharadia managed to win over Altamash Saifi with the score of 5-4. Altamash started the match with a bang, wining the first frame by 41-10. Then the match was evenly poised till the sixth frame. Altamsh took the lead after the seventh game as the score read  4-3. Mukund played a brilliant game under pressure and won the 8th and 9th frame by 29-10 and 56-12 registering a thrilling win.

Meanwhile Anand Raghuwanshi scored an easy win over Yogesh Sharma by 38-08, 40-0, 43-13, 13-34, 37-18, 30-02 while national player Shivam Arora defeated Taha Khan 30-16, 0-45, 41-1, 27-33, 46-14, 11-58, 54-8.
