Poonawalla Clean City Marathon on Nov 18

PUNE: With an aim to create awareness about cleaner and greener city along with motivating the citizens to follow a healthier and a fitter lifestyle—Pune Running Beyond Myself (PRBM) along with Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) have come together to organise Poonawalla Clean City Marathon (PCCM) which will be run on November 18.

The marathon will start from Balewadi Sports Complex and will move on to Baner road and will continue towards Pune University.

“We are expecting around 15000 runners to turn up of for the event. In past also we have supported this marathon but our objective to coming on as title sponsor was to create awareness about cleanliness. APCCI is giving its best to keep city clean and we want more and more people to join the initiative,” said Krishnan Komandur CEO of APCCI at PYC Gymkhana on Thursday.

The registered participants will be provided T-shirts, runners bibs with name, finisher’s medal, breakfast and a goodie bag with Rs 1,500 worth of Paytm cash back vouchers. Interested runners can register on  www.punerunning.com.

The event is accredited by Maharashtra Athletics Association and the route is certified by Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The timing certificate of this run will be valid to register for various runs across the country.

- 1: 42.2-km Full Marathon - With Timing chip
- 2: 21.1-km Half Marathon -  With Timing chip
- 3: 10-km run - With Timing chip
- 4: 6-km Fun run 6-km
