Pirates deliver stunning show to pip Titans in Pro Kabaddi League
I let my team down. Team played well but I could not help my team. I was not able to score and Pirates defenders tackled me very well. I have promised my teammates that next time I will be a different player and score points.

Patna Pirates defeats Telugu Titans 35-28; Two ‘all outs’ and complete team effort helps Delhi score 30-26 victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers
Hyderabad: Two time champions Patna Pirates kicked off their campaign with a stylish 35-28 victory over home team Telugu Titans in the Season 5 of Pro Kabaddi League at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Captaining Patna team for the first time, Pradeep Narwal collected 15 points as he led from the front. No one could resist Pradeep’s show as Titans defenders failed to catch him. His counterpart Rahul Chaudhari could only manage 7 points.
“Rahul leads from front so we kept him out of the mat. Once Rahul was out, his team came under pressure and we went ahead in the game. Our captain Pradeep played without pressure and he was brilliant as usual,” said Vishal Mane, who collected 3 raid points for Patna Pirates.
Dabang Delhi wins
Street smart performance from Meraj Sheykh helped Dabang Delhi to pip inaugural edition champions Jaipur Pink Panthers 30-26 to start their campaign on a winning note.
Jaipur suffered defeat due to their own mistakes despite dominating the match for first 15 minutes. They had 8 point lead at the end of 15 minutes, but failed to hold on under pressure and lost by 4 points.
The layout of victory was drawn by Iranian captain Meraj, who scored 7 points and Nilesh Shinde (5 points).
Abolfazl Maghsodlou, a raider from Iran, also played vital role in collecting 3 raid points and 1 touch point. It turned out to be all round show from Delhi as whole team contributed in the win.
