Pawan Singh appointed ‘Competitions Manager’

Pune: Pawan Singh, Joint Secretary General of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and Co-founder of the Gun for Glory (GFG) Shooting Academy has been appointed as the ‘Competitions Manager’ for the Shooting World Cup final event held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting range in New Delhi. The competition has been recently started in Delhi and will be continued till October 30th2017. This is the first time that India is hosting this prestigious event where the top ranked shooters of the world in rifle, pistol and shotgun from the 4 world cup events in 2017 are taking part.

This is the first time that India is hosting this prestigious event where the top ranked shooters of the world in rifle, pistol and shotgun from the 4 world cup events in 2017 are taking part. Pawan Singh had been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the smooth conduct of all competition events.

Commenting on this appointment Pawan Singh said, “This appointment indeed brings me a sense of honour and I am grateful to the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for giving me this opportunity. With my previous experience and with the support of the entire team, I am confident that I will perform to the best of my abilities in ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the World Cup Final.” 

Pawan Singh has earlier served as the Coach of Indian National Shooting team between the year 2007 and 2012. He has worked as the ‘Coordinator’ for the World Cup event in February 2017, Asian Olympic Qualifying Quota Competition and 8th Asian Airgun Championship. 

He was also the part of ‘Jury Equipment Control’ for Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Youth Games and World Military Games.
