Panthers hold nerves to score close win over Pune

Coming from back to back victories, Puneri Paltan fought hard in the second half but could not finish on winning side as they went down 28-30 at Mankapur Indoor Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday.

NAGPUR: Captain Manjeet Chhillar delivered a match winning performance scoring nine points to give Jaipur Pink Panther their first win of the Pro Kabadddi League Season 5.

Coming from back to back victories, Puneri Paltan fought hard in the second half but could not finish on winning side as they went down 28-30 at Mankapur Indoor Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday.

Jaipur started slowly but kept scoring points on regular basis which gave them 4 points lead going into the half time with score read 14-11 in their favour.  An ‘all out’ forced on Puneri in the second half did the trick for Jaipur as they managed to keep the difference of two points till the end.
