NKBA trainees shine for Maha team at School Nationals

Pune: Nikhil Kanetkar Badminton Academy (NKBA) trainees made their presence felt as the Maharashtra team finished on an impressive note at the 64th National School Game Badminton Championship 2018 in Aurangabad recently.  

Maharashtra won the gold medal in the girls Under-14 team event, while the Under-14 boys team settled for the bronze medal.

Shreya Bhosale from NKBA was part of the girls Under-14 team which won the gold medal.

Meanwhile NKBA’s Pratham Wani and Suveer Pradhan played their part as they helped the boys team clinch the bronze medal in the Under-14 category.

It was an added delight for Pratham Wani as he returned home with an individual bronze medal in the Under-14 category.

In the Under-17 category, which was held earlier in Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh, NKBA trainee Sasmit Patil was part of the boys team which walked home with the gold medal. Aarya Deshpande added to the NKBA presence in the girls team, as they won the gold medal.

Other NKBA trainess, Parth Deshpande and Siddhi Jadhav were a part of the Under-19 boys and girls teams respectively.
