Mumbai’s Joga Bonito are the national champions

Pune: Joga Bonito, Mumbai showed their class defeating  Kalinga Rangers FC, Pune 1-0 to clinch the national title of  Neymar Jr’s Five at HotFut, Begumpet, Hyderabad. 

Joga Bonito will now travel to Brazil to compete in the World final at Instituto Projeto Neymar, Brazil, on July 21. The team will also meet the Paris Saint Germain superstar in his own backyard.

Earlier in the semi-final, Joga Bonito outplayed Joga Bonito Bangalore 5-0 while Kalinga Rangers FC, Pune thrashed Miggas FC Aizawal 5-0.

The team whose members are  Anthony Machado, Johnson D’Silva, Mervin Stephen, Preetam Mahadik, Daniel Fernandes, Scott D’Souza and Pratik Kadam came out with an impressive show to keep their team ahead in all the matches.

“I believe the Neymar Jr’s Five and Red Bull have given the young Indian footballers a brilliant opportunity to represent our country India at the global stage,” Gurpreet Singh, Red Bull athlete and the Indian National Football goalkeeper said.
The tournament is organised by Red Bull since the last three years.
