Pune: Disciplined bowling from Ajay Abachane (3/17) helped PES Modern College to score a 15-run win over CoEP, Pune, in the Shivaji Trophy, State level Inter-Collegiate T-20 Cricket Tournament at AISSMS Ground on Monday.
Putting up a decent score of 119 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, Modern College boys came out with a good show to bowl out CoEP for 104 runs in 16.3 overs.
Man of the match Ajay got good support from other bowlers Prashik Mendhe (2/21), Nikhil Panmand (1/7) and Abhijit Vaidya (1/21).
Harshal Patil was the top scorer for Modern College with 49 runs while Ajay also added valuable 16 runs.
In the first match of the day, AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT) defeated AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT) by 61 runs.
