Millennium School clinch volleyball gold

Pune: Millennium National School defeated Nishan School from Punjab 25-15, 25-14, 25-8 to clinch gold in the Under-17 National Volleyball tournament held in Delhi recently

Ruhi Vidhwans, Krutika Soni and Samrudhi Bade came out with a stunning show, which helped Millennium girls to claim the title.
In the semi-finals, Millennium girls ousted the school from Tamil Nadu 25-12, 25-14, 25-18.

Millennium girls dominated the proceedings right from the start and won the first set 25-12.

Millennium girls dominated the proceedings right from the start and won the first set 25-12.

In the second set, nothing went right for Tamil Nadu school as girls from Maharashtra clinched the second set 25-14.

In the third set, girls from Tamil Nadu showed some resistance but could not stop in form millennium girls. Aditi Joshi, Isha Madhwn, Sakshi Pednekar were the top performers of the match.

In the league stages, Pune team had defeated teams form Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Millennium school had also clinched the Under-19 National CBSE Volleyball tournament title in 2016.

Team was coached by Kuldeep Konde and Sachin Chauhan.
