Mansukhbhai Kothari National School fall short of double delight

In the junior boys’ category, Mansukhbhai Kothari National School scored a facile 3-0 win over SNBP High School and Junior College, Yerawada. A brace by Yashvar Dhaiv (2th, 8th) and a goal by Fazal Khan (13th) settled the issue.

PUNE: Mansukhbhai Kothari National School had a bitter-sweet day out on a day when goals were hard to be scored in the category in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the PDFA ground, Dobarwadi.

In the junior boys’ category, Mansukhbhai Kothari National School scored a facile 3-0 win over SNBP High School and Junior College, Yerawada. A brace by Yashvar Dhaiv (2th, 8th) and a goal by Fazal Khan (13th) settled the issue.

However, in the senior boys category, Poona College of ASC dashed Mansukhbhai Kothari Schools’ chance of a double delight with a 2-1 win. Umar Shaikh (40th) and Arshad Miya (46th) scored for Poona College after Viren Chauan (7th) handed Mansukhbhai Kothari HS a great start.

In the college boys category, Sinhgad Academy of Engineering downed Keystone 2-0. In another match,  Nowrosjee Wadia College of ASC downed  St Vincent’s College of Commerce 2-0 with ease

Senior Boys, League: Nowrosjee Wadia College of Commerce 1 (Shivanshu Zhakar 3th) drew with Rewachand Bhojwani Academy 1 (Mihir Tupe 5th).
Senior Boys, Rd-1: St. Patrick’s High School & Junior College 3 (John Challa 30th, Aman Khan 33th, Stephen Chiro 37th) bt Hill Green High School 0.
Senior Boys, Rd-2: Poona College of ASC 2 (Umar Shaikh 40th, Arshad Miya 46th) bt Mansukhbhai Kothari National School 1 (Viren Chauan 7th).
College Boys: Sinhgad Academy of Engineering 2 (Abhijeet Dhillon 4th, Dnyaneshwar Swant 21th) bt Keystone 0; Nowrosjee Wadia College 2 (Rohit Shukla 47’th, Ryan John 59th) bt St Vincent’s College 0.
