Maharashtra players take home trophies

PUNE: Maharashtra players dominated the day of finals as Kaivalya Kalamse of Nanded and Prerna Vichare from Mumbai take home trophies in the ninth edition of Om Dalvi Memorial Skyi Developers Trophy All India Ranking Under-18 Super Series Tennis Tournament at Maharashtra Tennis Gymkhana on Friday.

In the boy’s final, top-seeded Kalamse a Nanded who is pursuing his BBA course from MIT took less than an hour to pack of Tamil Nadu’s Aman Khan.

It was Kalamse’s second title of the year, earlier he had won the Super Series event at Nanded in February.

FLAWLESS PRERNA
Mumbai girl from, Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Prerna Vichare claimed her first Under-18 title. and overall fourth of the year as she stopped sixth-seeded Lakshmi Vuttukuru of Andhra Pradesh 6-3, 6-3.  The winners and runners-up received 50 and 40 AITA points along with the trophies.

RESULTS
Finals: Girls: 1-Prerna Vichare (Mah) bt 6-Lakshmi Vuttukuru (AP) 6-3, 6-3.
Boys: 1-Kaivalya Kalamse (Mah) bt Aman Khan (TN) 6-1, 6-1.
