Maharashtra gearing up for Under-17 WC

Footballs will be distributed to all the schools in Pune and PCMC where five-a-side matches will be played.

Pune: On the occasion of the upcoming FIFA Under-17 Football World Cup, District Sports Officer (DSO) and Maharashtra Government will be taking up the initiative of Maharashtra Football Mission One, to encourage children to take up the sport.

Footballs will be distributed to all the schools in Pune and PCMC where five-a-side matches will be played.

Dinkar Tembkar, the education co-director informed that the initiative will be for higher primary, higher secondary and college level students. For smooth conduct, the events have been planned accordingly.
