Pune: Continuous hard work paid off for Maharashtra cycling team, as they came out with an excellent performance in 2017, which helped them earn titles in MTB Championship and the National Track Cycling Championship.
To honour the cyclists, Giant Starkenn Sports Private Limited awarded scholarships to the 23 members of the Maharashtra team, who have come out with an impressive show during the last year in many national and international tournaments.
Onkar Singh, Secretary General, Cycling Federation of India and Rajiv Mehta, Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) were the guests of honour during the event, which was held at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium in Shivajinagar on Monday.
Cycling Association of Maharashtra also launched a website for cycling enthusiasts, which will have all the details about upcoming tournaments and details about the players.

Ajit Pawar, who launched the website, added, “This website will definitely help cycling to reach more and more people.”
