Reshma Mane replaced Geeta Phogat in the Mumbai Maharathis team and she is all excited to give her best performance in the league.

Excerpts:
You are the first girl from Maharashtra to play in PWL, so what you want to say about this?

There are many girls who are playing in lower weight categories in junior level and I hope they’ll do good in senior level also. I hope to see more wrestlers from Maharashtra.

Do you think that you will motivate girls in Kolhapur?
Yes!!! Since I got gold in senior section, other parents are also supporting their girls to take part in wrestling, first it was considered a taboo but now girls are ready to compete with boys.

When did you start your wrestling career?
I was six when I started wrestling. From last 10-12 years, I have been associated with wrestling. My father wanted me to represent India in Olympics. My father took me to the mat when I was very young. I used to practice with my brothers.

You are in the same team with Geeta Phogat. How is your experience?
I am learning a lot from her. She is very disciplined and her practice sessions are different. In India camp, I had learnt new things because I haven’t seen such kinds of training sessions at our place.
