Karnataka wins overall title, Sri Hari best swimmer

Pune: Karnataka swimmers swam to glory to clinch the overall championship in the Sub Junior and Junior National Aquatic Championship, which concluded at Balewadi Sports Complex here  on Friday.

The team from down south collected overall 447 points in the Junior category while they doubled their joy by taking the first position in the Sub Junior age group as well collecting 250 points.

Sri Hari Nataraj was the star swimmer from Karnataka, collecting five gold medals while in the girls as well, it was Suvana Baskar from Karnataka, who stole the limelight by winning four golds and one silver medal respectively.

On the final day,  Swadesh Mondal and Nataraj were unvanquished in the individual events in the boys Group I and Group II sections.
