JN Petit score second league win; Stella Maris, Hutchings stand out

JN Petit Technical High School scored their second win to go atop the elite junior boys’ league standings, while Hutchings and Stella Maris fought off their opponents comfortably in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the PDFA ground, Dobarwadi.

Pune: JN Petit Technical High School scored their second win to go atop the elite junior boys’ league standings, while Hutchings and Stella Maris fought off their opponents comfortably in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the PDFA ground, Dobarwadi.

Riding on a brace by Vedant Muktekar (28th, 30th), JN Petit had it easy winning 4-0 against Delhi Public School and gain full points in a Group-A encounter. A goal each by Miraj Rkibe (33rd) and Vinit Chouhan (49th) completed the tally for JN Petit who took their points tally to six points.

In the junior boys’ knock outs, Stella Maris had Karan Pandey with 4 goals, lead the way against St Mathew Academy and ended up with a 6-0 scoreline. Karan netted in the 4th, 18th, 20th, 32nd minutes, while a brace by Chaitanya (17th, 27th) rounded off the tally.
  
Hutchings High School pounded Angel High School CBSC 7-0. 
Sayan Verghese (3rd, 36th) Aditya Hambir (14th, 17th), Anvit More (19th, 32nd) and Anuj Hambir (29th) scored for the winners.
