Jatin, Sachin and Aditya strike as Hutchings wins

Hutchings High School boys defeated Sinhgad Spring Dale School, Erandwane 3-0 in the third round of the Under-17 category of the Zilla Parishad football tournament being played at SSPMS football ground

Pune: Hutchings High School boys defeated Sinhgad Spring Dale School, Erandwane 3-0 in the third round of the Under-17 category of the Zilla Parishad football tournament being played at SSPMS football ground on Saturday.

Jatin Taneja from Hutchings scored the first goal in the 7th minute while Sachin Paranjape scored the second in the 12th minute. Later Aditya Hambir scored the third in the 26th minute as Hutchings walked home with the win.

In another match, Vidya Bhavan High School defeated New Life Centre High School 1-0. Anish Gaware scored the lone goal for the winning team in the 12th minute.
Meanwhile, Laxamanrao Apte Prashala defeated St Thomas School, Khadki 2-0 with Ajay Verma scoring a brace in the 12th and 15th minutes.

In a Under-17 quarterfinal fixture, JN Petit Technical High School defeated Nagarvala Boarding 4-2 in the tie-breaker after the score remained goalless at regulation time.

In the tie breaker, Shadan Kudiyanwala, Vedant Mutkekar, Lucky Shedge and Neeraj Rikibe scored for JN Petit while Soham Ghadge and Akshay Nilparna scored for Nagarvala.

In a semifinal fixture, Army Public School, Race Course defeated JN Petit with the score reading 2-0.

Quarterfinal: JN Petit Technical High School 0 (Tie breaker: Shadan Kudiyanwala, Vedant Mutkekar, Lucky Shedge,  Neeraj Rikibe) bt Nagarvala Boarding 0 (Tie breaker:Soham Ghadge, Akshay Nilparna).

Semi-finals: Army Public School, Race Course  2 (Pratik Yadav 16th, Abhinavsingh Solanki 27th) bt JN Petit Technical High School 0.
