Jagmeet gets past Sneha, moves ahead in qualifiers

In another match, Vaishnavi Adkar beat Bipasha Mehn 6-2, 6-3 while Mrunmyee Bhagwat got past Subhrata Subhranjali with the score reading 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 followed by Vidhi Jani who beat Vaidehi Katkar 6-1, 6-1 to advance further.
Also registering a win was Aarya Patil who defeated Sanvi Ahluwalia as the score read 6-1, 7-6 (7-2).
In another action, Bela Tamhankar dominated as she eased past Vyomaa Bhaskar 6-2, 6-0 while Vanshita Pathania also had an easy outing as she beat Rushika Doifode 6-1, 6-0 to advance further.
In the boys category, Anargha Ganguly and Arjun Gohad used the home city advantage to dismiss seeds and move into the second qualifying round.
Unseeded Arjun Gohad ousted third seeded Denim Yadav 6-3, 6-2 while Anargha Ganguly outplayed fifth seeded Kushan Shah 6-2, 6-2.
