India clinches two bronze in Biathle-Triathle World Championships

Pune: India’s Vidhika Parmar and Prajit Asokan clinched the bronze medal in the triathle event of the Biathle-Triathle World Championships which took place in Spain from September 20 to 24.  

Athletes from 17 countries had taken part in the event. A total of 19 athletes from India had taken part in the event which included 13 athletes from Maharashtra.  

In the biathle event, Nikhil Misal of Maharashtra, Dishank Saini of Uttar Pradesh and John Bopuri of Andhra Pradesh also clinched bronze medals. 

The Indian team which participated in the event for the eighth consecutive time was coached by Jeetendra Khasnis.
