Hada snaps 10 points
Twenty year old Taiga Hada entered on a confident note and qualified 9th on the grid. Thereafter, Hada made fast gains in the intense race which saw the battle shift to 3rd spot of the podium. Overtaking 3 riders, Hada finished 6th clocking his fastest lap time of 1:31: 025. With this, Hada has won 10 points for the solo Indian team’s point tally in Day 1.

Talking of his race experience, Taiga Hada said, ”I was happy with the good start which took me to 5th spot. There on, I made my best efforts to maintain this position. But by the lag end of the race, my rear tyre could not hold, and I had to close on 6th spot. For Sunday, I will once again challenge myself for a podium finish.”

Rajiv, Anish impress
For the Indian duo it was a mixed day. Gaining track confidence, both Rajiv and Anish recorded their respective fastest lap times in the qualifier but couldn’t gain points for India in Race 1.
Entering the AP 250 qualifier after his rib fracture, Rajiv Sethu pushed hard despite his handicap to gain 2.1 seconds and clock his best lap time of 1:45:674. Anish too shaved off 3.1 seconds off from his FP1 time to record his fastest lap time of 1:48:198. But, on Saturday the AP 250 Race 1 was firmly led by the mighty Indonesian duo Rheza (1st) and Awhin (2nd) from ASTRA Honda Racing team. Starting from the back of the pack at 27th, Anish climbed 2 ranks to close in top 25.
