Hitman inaugurates Mini Cricket ground at SNBP School, Rahatani
In my days we had to go to different grounds with a hope to get enough batting practice. But this kind of initiative will help school students intending to become a batsman to focus only on how to face balls coming in a different pace.

Pune: Fresh from leading India to Nidahas Trophy title in Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma launched a unique initiative for school students as he inaugurated Mini-Cricket Ground in the SNBP International School, Pimple Saudagar, Rahatani, on Thursday that is equipped with a bowling machine.
Bowling machines are available mainly at big cricket academies but the SNBP Group of Institutes led by Chairman DK Bhosale have made it possible for school students to use such hi-tech facility and hone the cricketing skills.
Speaking after inaugurating the Mini-cricket Ground, Rohit Sharma said he was delighted to see that such facilities are now being made available for school students.
Welcoming India’s ODI Vice-Captain, DK Bhosale said it was his dream to set up such an infrastructure at one of his school.
“SNBP School has always been in forefront of motivating and encouraging students in playing sports alongside academics. We regularly conduct different programmes at SNBP International School in Pimple Saudagar to inspire students to take up sports of their choice.
“As part of that initiative we have put together a mini-cricket ground in the school premises to attract students towards playing cricket,” said Bhosale.
As we launch our ground I am glad that Rohit Sharma, who recently captained India to Nidahas Trophy title in the Triangular T20 series in Sri Lanka, came in here and inspired students in taking up cricket as a sport.
“Rohit, who is vice-captain of Indian ODI side and deputy to Virat Kohli, is an idol for many cricket enthusiasts and is known as Hitman for his ability to play big innings.
“What made today special was that Rohit Sharma accepted our invitation and spent some time with students and gave them some tips about cricket and specially batting.
What makes this mini-cricket ground special is that SNBP school has installed bowling machine on the ground with a hope that in future a player like, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni or Rohit Sharma, would emerge from here.
Given that cricket is a kind of religion in India we have decided to make available the required infrastructure to make the dream possible of creating cricketers of repute.
“I believe that with the inauguration of this ground March 29 will be etched in Golden letters in the history of SNBP Group of institutes,” added Bhosale.
