FC Pune City will hope of change in fortunes as they take the field for one last time in 2017 against NorthEast United, who are languishing in the bottom half of the table with four points from six outings with the solitary win against Delhi Dynamos.

PUNE: Suspension of head coach Ranko Popovic will be the talking point rather than their poor run of form at the home when FC Pune City will take on NorthEast United FC during their Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Saturday.

The 50-year-old Serbian coach was on Friday handed a four-match suspension and INR 5 lakh fine by AIFF for his comments regarding match officials after his sides’ win against FC Goa last week.

The gaffer’s absence from the touchline only adds to the worries of Pune, who have managed to win just one game at home, having lost three others. But they have won all three games on the road with their most recent win coming against the Goan side.
