The world-renowned distance running coach to share his knowledge at COEP on Friday

Pune: A world-renowned exercise scientist and two-time Olympic medallist in Modern Pentathlon Dr Jack Daniels will be making his first visit to the city wherein he will conduct a workshop on distance running for enthusiasts at the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) on Friday.
The event is being put together by the organisers of Pune Half Marathon, which is scheduled on December 9.

Dr Jack Daniels will be conducting workshop on Training For Optimal Running Performance. He will also share his experience about running and guide running enthusiasts about how to train for the long-distance running.

“I have been following Dr Daniels’ tips for almost eight years. It is a privilege to have Mr Daniels with us as he rarely travels. But he acknowledged the importance of the clinic and agreed to come,” informed Vikas Singh CEO of Pune Half Marathon.

The workshop is open for all and interested runners may register at www.punehalfmarathon.com.

After Pune, Dr Daniels will visit Mumbai on Saturday where he will conduct the session at Mumbai Cricket Association in Bandra Kurla Complex.

Who is Dr Jack Daniels? 
 Dr. Jack Daniels is two-time Olympic medalist in the Modern Pentathlon and world-renowned exercise scientist. 
 Named “The World’s Best Running Coach” by Runner’s World, he led Cortland University runners to eight NCAA Division III National Championships, 31 individual national titles, and more than 130 All-America awards.
 Dr. Daniels has coached seven athletes to the U.S. Olympic team and advised dozens of Olympians and medalists. 
 He is world-famous for writing Daniels’ Running Formula, a 1998 book outlining his unique training philosophies. 
 According to Runner’s World Magazine, Dr. Daniels “has had a bigger influence on training-for-running than anyone. He might be considered the Albert Einstein of the sport.”
