Pune’s Radhika Mahajan defeats Adithi Are of Telangana 7-5, 7-6 (7-3)

Pune: City girl Radhika Mahajan won a memorable double crown winning the singles and doubles girls event at the MSLTA - Yonex Sunrise Hotel Ravine All India Ranking Super Series Under-16 Tennis Tournament which was played at Ravine Hotel, Panchgani.

In the girls singles final encounter, third seeded Pune girl ended the challenge of top seeded Adithi Are of Telangana 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) in 1 hour 45 minutes tussle, while the top seed Faiz Nasyam stopped fifth seeded Aayush Bhat of Karnataka 6-2, 6-4.

In the girls doubles final, Mahajan teamed up with Harshita Bangera and played out a  6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win over Shravani Khawale and Pari Chavan.
 
In the boys event, Sarvesh Birmane teamed up with Yashraj Dalvi to clinch a  6-3, 6-4 thriller against opponents Arjun Gohad and Aayush Bhat.

Singles: Boys: 1-Faiz Nasyam bt 5-Aayush Bhat 6-2, 6-4. 
Girls: 3-Radhika Mahajan bt 1-Adithi Are (Tel) 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
Doubles: Boys: Sarvesh Birmane and Yashraj Dalvi bt Arjun Gohad and Aayush Bhat 6-3, 6-4.   
Girls: Harshita Bangera and Radhika Mahajan bt Shravani Khawale and Pari Chavan 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
