Dhayal sisters bring home bronze from World C’ship

Pune: Climbing the ladder of success step by step has become a hobby for Dhayal sisters as they added one more medal to their name by winning bronze in the World Archery Youth Championships at  Rosario in Argentina.
Divya and Khushbu teamed up with Sanchita Tiwari of New Delhi to beat Great Britain 212-206 in the third position match.

Divya and Khushbu teamed up with Sanchita Tiwari of New Delhi to beat Great Britain 212-206 in the third position match.

Indian team started slowly as they were trailing by four points with score reading 56-52. In the second round, Great Britain archers were ahead with the score 110-106. In the third round, Indians tried their best to overcome the lead but they stayed five points behind with the score reading 163-158.
In the last round, the trio came out with a brilliant performance to get ahead with six points and won the medal with the final score of 212-206.   

Earlier, Indian team lost 204-217 against USA while they had won the quarter-final defeating Russia 219-217.

“It is indeed a very proud moment for me and our whole family to see Khushbu and Divya winning a medal for the country. And victory becomes more sweet when I see their father -  Lt. Col Vikram Dhayal, who is also their coach, standing there with them,” said Ishwari Dhayal.
