Chinmay trounces all to win Chess trophy

The tournament was quite strong as almost 40 players were internationally rated with many former champions participating.

Pune: Chinmay Kulkarni was in his elements as he just demolished all the opposition to score a clean 7/7 score to win the 42nd edition of MJ’s Trophy Every Sunday Rapid Chess Championship.

The tournament was quite strong as almost 40 players were internationally rated with many former champions participating. 
All the top 5 players are former winners of this 3rd series of Every Sunday rapid chess championship.

The tournament was held in 7 round swiss league format and the Chief arbiter was International Arbiter Rajendra Shidore assisted by Senior National Arbiter Amit Sohany.

Top 5 prizes: 1. Chinmay Kulkarni: 7 points; 2. Nikhil Dixit: 5.5 points and 31 Bucholz; 3. Vedant Pimpalkhare: 5.5 points and 28 Bucholz; 4. Aakanksha Hagawane: 5 points and 33.5 Bucholz; 5. Gaurav Das: 5 points and 29 Bucholz.
