BJS, SM Joshi impress in Round 1

Bharati Jain Sanghtana, Wagholi (BJS) and SM Joshi Hindi Vidyalaya put on a good show in the first round of Obsty Race which has been jointly organised by Maharashtriya Mandal and Chandrashekar Agashe Physical Education College in Mukundagar.

Pune: Bharati Jain Sanghtana, Wagholi (BJS) and SM Joshi Hindi Vidyalaya put on a good show in the first round of Obsty Race which has been jointly organised by Maharashtriya Mandal and Chandrashekar Agashe Physical Education College in Mukundagar.

A total of 41 teams from Pune took part in the event. The first round was divided into two stages. In every stage, the teams completed six hurdles. 16 boys teams and 8 girls teams who completed both the stages in minimum time qualified for the final round.

Bharati Jain Sanghtana, Wagholi boys finished with the least time clocking 42 minutes, 44.80 seconds.
Standing on second place was SM Joshi Hindi Vidyalaya who clocked 48 minutes, 51.80 seconds.

Meanwhile Jijamata High School, Jejuri stood on the third place with a timing of 49 minutes, 29.40 seconds.

Emmanuel Marthoma School 54:00.40; 10. Pawar Public School 54:06.70. 

Girls: 1. Bharati Jain Sanghtana 56 minutes, 57.50 seconds, 2. Jnana Prabodhini 1:01:44.00, 3. Nagarvala School 1:03:13.60, 4. Balshikshan High School 01:04:57.10; 5Renukaswarup School 01:05:00.40.
