Bishop’s, SSPMS and Loyola in finals

Loyola High School defeated Vidya Bhavan High School 1-0 in the semifinals of the Under-14 category as Akshat Dadoo scored the lone goal for the hosts in the 13th minute of the match.

PUNE: The Bishop’s School, Camp, hosts Loyola High School and Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School stormed into the finals in respective age categories in the Loyola Football Cup at the Loyola High School football ground here on Monday.

Loyola High School defeated Vidya Bhavan High School 1-0 in the semifinals of the Under-14 category as Akshat Dadoo scored the lone goal for the hosts in the 13th minute of the match.

In the second half Kevin Chattarjee from St Vincent’s scored in the 41st minute to help his team enter the final.

In the Under-12 semifinal, St Vincent’s High School defeated JN Petit Technical High School 5-4 in the tie breaker after the score was 1-1 at regulation time.

In another Under-12 semifinal, The Bishop’s School Camp defeated Vidya Valley High School 3-1. Ved Sarkar (11th), Anshul Kaset (16th) and Yuvraj Salunke (34th) got on the scoreline for Bishop’s while Ekansh Ahuja scored the lone goal for Vidya Valley in the 36th minute.

In the Under-16 action, SSPMS Boarding defeated Loyola High School 2-0 and JN Petit beat St Vincent’s 4-3.

Under-16: SSPMS Boarding 2 (Ashish Mhatre 57th, 60th) bt Loyola High School 0; JN Petit Technical High School 1 (Niraj Rikibv 44th) bt St Vincent’s High School 1 (Mithil Navlakha 22nd).
