Bengaluru play Bengal in first home game

PUNE: Kabaddi action will return to Pune for the second time this season as Bengaluru Bulls will take on Bengal Warriors at their temprory home ground here at the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Friday.

Bengaluru Bulls currently stand first in the points table in Zone B having played 10 matches, winning 7, losing 2 and with one match being a tie. The Bengaluru outfit have 40 points in their kitty and are looking forward to continue with their fine form as they have 6 matches lined up at the adopted home Pune.

Coach Randhir Singh, Captain Rohit Kumar and Pawan Kumar Sehrawat are upbeat and are ready to give it their best for the home leg starting today.

Speaking about the change in venue, coach Randhir Singh said “Pune has been very lucky for me. As soon as we came to know about the issue of the venue, I always had Pune on my mind. I got complete support from all and now we are playing here. Off course shifting has its problems but we are here to play and give our best.”

When quizzed whether playing six matches at a go is difficult, Singh said “Playing six matches is difficult but there is no option. We have a break in between which is good. Even in the nationals, we are used to playing six matches in a row. So that is not an issue”

“We have been doing sand runs, during our training sessions which has helped us as far as fitness is concerned. We began training well in advance,” Singh said throwing light on their training.

Speaking about Kashiling Adake, Singh said “Kashiling told me that he is very happy here. In all the seasons that he has played, Kashiling like his stint here the most. There is no pressure on him. Normally if there is no pressure on players they perform better.”
