BEG wins Pune Football Super Division League

Pune: Bombay Engineers Group (BEG) emerged as winners in the super division league at the DSK Toyota Pune Football League at the BEG Ground on Tuesday.

After the last league matches where Deccan XI and Bishops FC scored wins over Sangam Young Boys and Pheonix FC respectively.
BEG  played 16 matches out of which they won 14 matches, drew 1 and lost 1 to emerge table toppers with 43 points.

Parshuramians SC A  finished second with 34 points, winning 11 of the 16 matches, losing 4 and drawing 1 match.

Indrayani SC finished third with 33 points with victory in 11 matches out of 16. They lost 5 matches.

In the last league matches, Deccan XI trounced Sangam Young Ones 2-0 while Bishops FC scraped past Phoenix FC 5-4 to emerge 6th and 9th in the superdivison.

CMS Falcons finished fourth, FC Pune City A finished fifth, FC Pune City B finished seventh while ThunderCatz A finished eighth in the league.

Bishops FC 5 (Gautam Swami 14th, 68th, Pradeep Bondwe 27th, 75th, Reisomi RS 86th) bt Phoenix FC 4 (Yash Jain 4th, 52nd, Vedant Mahajan 34th, Jayant Karse 78th).
