Arhant Joshi and Vedant Kadam impress

The world championship was a combi event where skaters of speed and freestyle disciplines competed. More than 65 countries participated in the World Championships. 

PUNE: Arhant Joshi and Vedant Kadam finished with an impressive performance as they secured the 8th place in the Roller Skating World Championships which will be held in Arnhem - Netherlands from July 1 to 8. 

Meanwhile Vishvesh Patil (18th) and Jinesh Nanal (19th) put on a good show in the Junior Boys category.

The world championship was a combi event where skaters of speed and freestyle disciplines competed. More than 65 countries participated in the World Championships. 

From the World Championships, skaters were selected for the Youth Olympic Games which are scheduled to be held in Buenes Aires later this year.

These are the official World Championships organized by World Skate (Recognized by International Olympic Committee) annually.

The Pune skaters in the team included Arhant Joshi, Vedant Kadam, Jinesh Nanal, Vishvesh Patil, Shrutika Sarode, Vaidehi Sarode and Atharva Kulkarni.
