Anushka wins gold in sub-jr taekwondo

Pune: Anushka Bhajibhakre-Jain performed well to strike gold medal for Maharashtra in the Girls 16-kg category at the 34th Sparring and 8th Pumse National Sub-junior Taekwondo Championship being conducted here by the Taekwondo Association of Maharashtra under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).

Maharashtra’s Gauri Keer won the silver medal in the 20-kg category. Anushka defeated Andhra Pradesh’s B Tejaswini to win the gold medal.

In the 20-kg category Tamil Nadu’s P Harshini won the gold medal beating Gauri. Anushka Sahu and Sehajpreet Kaur settled for the bronze medals.
