All round show from Deepak and Co crush Jaipur

With this victory Puneri Paltan are now on second position with 79 points; If they beat Gujarat on Friday,  they will end league stage on the first position

Pune: Deepak Hooda came out with one of the finest performance of this season as his team Puneri Paltan thrashed Jaipur Pink Panthers 38-15 at Balewadi Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Deepak scored ten touch, one bonus and three tackle points. With this victory Pune keeps their hopes alive of taking No 1 position if they beat Gujarat Fortune giants in their last league match on Friday.

With just eight points scored in first 10 minutes, Pune was slightly ahead with five points while the opponent scored 3. Defence was charged up from both the ends as raiders failed to collect points and raiders had to settle with empty raids.

Rinku Narwal, Dharmaraj Cheralathan and Ziaur Rahman were collecting points in defence. Deepak got good support of Akshay Jadhav as the Kolhapur boy started with two successful raids.
Pune went into the half time with the score line of 12-7. After resumption, Deepak and Co took centre stage and started to collected points in bulk.

With the score reading 14-8 in the 23rd minute, Deepak’s raid helped Paltan to force ‘All out’ over Jaipur as Pune moved with the score of 18-8.    

The tide of match turned completely into the favour of home team as Pune players started to go merry over their opponents.
In raiding it was Deepak again who made life difficult for  Jaipur defenders while in defence Ziaur, Dharmaraj and Rinku did not allow any single points to the opponents.  

Pirates hold Bulls
Captain Pardeep Narwal came out with a safety first approach and took an ‘empty raid’ in his last raid to tie the match 29 all against opponents Bengaluru Bulls.

It turned out to be 29th drawn encounter of the current season as Bulls ended the  season with  57 points in 22 games while Patna hold the second position in Zone ‘B’ with 71 points.
