Adkar wins long jump gold

Pune: Sanjyot Adkar from Dr Kalmadi High School emerged victorious in the Under-12 Long Jump event of the Inter-School Athletics Competition in progress at the Aagashe College ground here on Tuesday.

Adkar finished on top with a jump of 4.60 metres to claim gold medal.

Standing second was Saniya Kadam, a student of Muktangan English Medium School whose jump was 3.89 metres which gave her silver medal. Meanwhile Dr Kalmadi High School student Mithali Deshpande finished on the third position with a 3.76 metre jump.

In the girls Under-10 long jump event, Mansi Sasar from NCL English Medium School, Pashan finished on top with a 3.67 metre jump.

Janhvi Chorge and Jidnyasa Pardeshi from Muktangan English Medium School clinched the second and third position with jumps of 3.28 metres and 3.27 metres respectively.
In the Under-12 boys long jump battle, Suyash Kulkarni from Maharashtriya Mandal English Medium School was in good from as he stood first with a 4.59 metre jump.
Standing on second position was Aryan Pukle from Muktangan English Medium School whose jump was 4.13 metres while Atharva Chuttar from Hutchings High School had to be content on the third place with a 3.96 metre jump.

Ishan Pawar from Balshikshan Mandir won the Under-10 boys long jump event with a 3.82 metre jump. Siddesh Deokar from Muktangan English Medium School stood second with a 3.72 metre jump.

Ronak Khetre from Captain Shivrampant Damle Prashala stood on the third position with a 3.55 metre jump.
