Talking about the Women’s Half Marathon, Krishnan Komandur, CEO Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative said: “The Pune Women’s Half Marathon is an excellent opportunity to interact with the community and spread the message of a healthy lifestyle for a healthy city. The message of leading a healthy life needs to be reinforced since health is one of the many things that we tend to take for granted.”

Women can choose to participate in a 3km, 10km or 21km run—which is a competitive event with prizes on offer for the top finishers.

The run is being organised to mark the International Women’s Day, March 8, but since it is a weekday, the marathon has been scheduled for Sunday.

While the 21k run will begin at 6 am, the runs for other distances will be flagged off with a 30-45 minute gap.

We aim to make the Pune Women’s Half Marathon bigger with every passing year. The marathon is also a reminder for women to take their health seriously and pursue a healthy lifestyle. It is apt to be associating with an initiative like APCCI since their core values closely align with the purpose of the marathon
