Abhimanyu stamps his class once again

Another promising talent, Harshit Raja who is aiming to complete his International Master’s title also played to check his skills and finished as the runner’s-up.

Pune: International Master Abhimanyu Puranik, who is in a hurry to complete his Grandmaster title by achieving third GM norm in the upcoming events in Poland and the Czech Republic scheduled in the second week of July, probably tested himself in this weekly MJs Every Sunday Rapid Chess event. 

Another promising talent, Harshit Raja who is aiming to complete his International Master’s title also played to check his skills and finished as the runner’s-up.

Abhimanyu was in supreme form and won 7 out of 8 games, his ½ point was snatched by Nikhil Dixit, in this tournament held in 8 round Swiss league format.

The next event will be held on July 9 after a gap of one Sunday.
