Zeal student wins Gold medal

Omkar Khade, student of Electronics and Telecommunication, Zeal College of Engineering and Research won the gold medal in India Skills 2018 competition recently held at New Delhi. Omkar Khade had participated in “Information Network Cabling’. 

Pune: Omkar Khade, student of Electronics and Telecommunication, Zeal College of Engineering and Research won the gold medal in India Skills 2018 competition recently held at New Delhi. Omkar Khade had participated in “Information Network Cabling’. 

The competition was launched by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation and is biennial competition. The competition was held from 2nd to 6th October 2018 in New Delhi. As many as 23 states actively participated in organising the competitions at the state and regional levels. The competitions saw the participation of  over 50 thousand participants.
 
Meanwhile, 450 participants took part in the 3-day national level competition held in New Delhi. Besides 46 competition trades, there were 10 demonstration trades that took part in it.
 
. Minister of State (MoS)for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Anantkumar Hegde and Mr.Subhash Ghai, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council and India Film Director gave away the awards in 46 trades to participants from across the country.
