Pune: A 23-year-old youth died after he slipped and fell on a stone at the waterfall near Bhushi dam in Lonavla on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Sonkamble, a native of Akkalkot in Solapur district, who lived here in Hadapsar.
According to Lonavla police, Sonkamble had gone sightseeing with his five friends.
They were bathing and playing at the waterfall near the Bhushi dam when he slipped and fell on a stone.
Police said that this the first casualty this year at the dam.
