Pune: Young Inspirators Network (YIN) and ‘SIMACES’ launched a skill development course under the YIN Leadership Development Programme (LDP) at JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College in Tathawade on Monday.
Chief Manager of YIN Tejas Gujarati emphasised that students should focus on becoming entrepreneurs. “Students must mold their career in the right direction and become job makers instead of job seekers. This course can be availed by students from any district and taluka across the State. Moreover, the biggest advantage is that it can be accessed online through mobile and computers at any time. Youngsters must start developing communication and leadership skills during their college days and aim to become entrepreneurs by expanding their networks,” said Gujarati.
JSPM directors Sudhir Bhilare and Ravi Sawant, Principal Rakesh Jain, Vice-Principal Avinash Devsthali, Associate Editor of Sakal Avinash Chilekar, along with members of YIN were present.
“There are actually quite a lot of job opportunities but students lack skills. Therefore, they fail to get through it. Instead of crying foul over no jobs available and recession, students must start focusing on being entrepreneurs and growing their business.
At the end of the day, it is about having the right skills and able to be a multi-tasker, which will gain bigger achievements in life,” Gujarati further said.
Chilekar urged students to be entrepreneurs. He said, “Due to lack of career guidance, many youngsters are unable to seek right jobs, eventually increasing the unemployability rate. The new generation must now focus on creating jobs and recruit employees and not wait to be employed.”
