Women doctors felicitated on National Doctors’ Day

Pune: Women doctors who have made noteworthy contributions to the field of medicine, as well as the social sector, were felicitated on Saturday on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day. Social worker Vidya Bal was the chief guest.

The programme organised by Sainath Mandal Trust, took place at the Bharat Gayan Samaj in Shukrawar Peth, once the home of India’s first woman doctor Anandibai Joshi.

Dr Sarika Joshi, Dr Kalpana Balivant, Dr Mukta Umarji, Dr Poonam Shah and Dr Gauri Damle were among those felicitated.
