Woman, sons kidnapped in Dighi

The police said that during the investigation, it was revealed that Khan played a role in the disappearance of Shingade's family and is untraceable.

PUNE: Two persons have been booked for kidnapping a woman and her two sons in Dighi. The missing complaint, which was initially registered by the woman's husband on February 26, has been converted into kidnapping after the role of culprits was revealed during police investigation.

The accused have been identified as Zafar Khan and Salil Khan, both residents of Dighi. Khan, who is untraceable, was booked by the police after they found his role suspicious during the investigation. His friend Salil Khan has been booked for helping him to kidnap the woman and her sons.

According to Dighi police station, the complaint was registered by Shashikant Shingade, the woman's husband. Shingade, who works as driver and stays with wife and two sons in Adarsh Nagar area of Dighi, approached the police after he found that his family was missing.

Shingade, who left home for work, couldn't find his wife and sons at home when he returned at night. After carrying out the initial enquiry with relatives and friends, he reported the matter to police.

The police said that during the investigation, it was revealed that Khan played a role in the disappearance of Shingade's family and is untraceable.
