Brother-in-law of sex racketeer Kalyani Deshpande held 

Pune: A woman from Uzbekistan has been rescued from prostitution racket by the Social Security Cell (SSC) of Pune city police. The police have arrested brother-in-law of notorious sex racketeer Kalyani Deshpande and another agent for running the racket. Kalyani is lodged in jail in a similar case.

Pune: A woman from Uzbekistan has been rescued from prostitution racket by the Social Security Cell (SSC) of Pune city police. The police have arrested brother-in-law of notorious sex racketeer Kalyani Deshpande and another agent for running the racket. Kalyani is lodged in jail in a similar case. 

According to the police, they had received a tip-off that prostitution is going on at Wonder Futura Society near Dukkar Khind in Kothrud. A team led by Police Inspector Sanjay Patil, API Sheetal Bhalekar raided a flat in the society and rescued the woman and her passport. The cops also nabbed Nilesh Suryakant Deshpande (46) and Shiva Govind Mahavir Singh (26), both residents of same society in Kothrud. 

An FIR has been registered against Deshpande, Singh and another agent Jasmine for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). The accused Nilesh was using a phone registered in the name of Kalyani and the police are investigating it further.
