Pune: A 41-year-old woman who is frequently being threatened on her e-mail has approached the Deccan police and lodged a complaint against an unidentified person. As per the complaint lodged by the complainant, she is getting threatening e-mails from past one year.
The Deccan police said that initially, she was getting obscene messages. After a few months, the unidentified person started threatening the complainant of rape. Following the complaint filed by the complainant who stays on Prabhat Road, the Deccan police have booked unidentified person under sections 354(A), 509, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of Information Technology Act.
The Deccan police said that they are investigating the case as the accused has not shared any details. Police Inspector A Avhad is investigating the case.
