Pune: A 28-year-old woman sustained injuries after she fell from Sinhgad fort while taking a selfie, on Saturday evening. Pranita Lahu Ingle (28) of Latur had fallen about 150 feet into a gorge from Tanaji cliff on the fort. However, local residents managed to rescue her.

On Saturday evening, Pranita along with her husband and brother had come to the fort, about 25 km from Pune. As the ghat road was closed, they parked their car at Atkarwadi and then climbed to the fort. They roamed on the fort and she stepped outside the railings at Tanaji cliff to click a selfie. Due to the rains, the spot had become slippery. While taking a photo, she lost balance and fell into the gorge.

Her husband and brother raised an alarm following which local residents and gram panchayat members rushed to help. Somehow listening to her cries, they managed to trace her.
