Woman duped of Rs 80,000 on job pretext

Pune: A 30-year-old woman has been duped of Rs 80,000 by another woman on the pretext of providing her a job in Home Guards. The incident, which occurred in April 2017, was reported to the police on Saturday.

The identity of the accused woman has not been revealed yet by the police. The elderly woman lured the complainant Radha Dhumal into her trap and duped her of Rs 80,000 after promising her a job in Home Guards.

According to the information provided by police, the complainant is unaware of the real identity of the woman who is a resident of Erandwane Gaothan. The complainant approached police after the accused woman stopped meeting the complainant.

A case under section 420 (cheating) has been registered against the unidentified woman.
