Wives of missing soldiers, martyrs felicitated by NGO on Bhaubeej

Families of soldiers are paid less attention in our country. This situation is not only observed in Maharashtra but in other states as well. In order to regain their faith, it is necessary to induce alternatives to improve their lives for which at least one representative of these families should be appointed in every area. Through this, their grievances will reach the Central and state governments and also be known to the public

Pune: Rotary Club of Pune, Midtown and Sainik Mitra Parivar felicitated wives of soldiers missing in action and those killed in action at Narad Vyas Mandir in Sadashiv Peth on Bhaubeej, on Saturday.

“Families of soldiers are paid less attention in our country. This situation is not only observed in Maharashtra but in other states as well. In order to regain their faith, it is necessary to induce alternatives to improve their lives for which at least one representative of these families should be appointed in every area. Through this, their grievances will reach the Central and state governments and also be known to the public,” said Lieutenant General (Retd) Satish Navathe.

Members of the temple Makarandbuva Aurangabadkar, Ashok Mehendale and Anand Saraf and Rotracts Abhijeet Mhasalkar, Nimbalkar Talim and others were present.

“Those soldiers who fight on the borders get their strength from the women in their family. Mother, sister, wife back them like strong pillars. Therefore, we must stand by their side and salute their strength to hold a family and these soldiers,” said Aurangabadkar.

“It is our responsibility to protect and look after soldiers’ families. In this way we can contribute our bit for the country,” said Mhaskar. Vishwalila Trust, Seva Mitra Mandal, Poona Guest House had also come forward to support this initiative.
