Wagholi residents protest against PMRDA

They claimed they were recently issued notices that their lands will be acquired. However the locals alleged the land acquisition is in favour of some builders and PMRDA has not decided any compensation model. 

PUNE: Residents of Wagholi on Monday protested against Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority’s (PMRDA) move to acquire land from locals for road development between Bhavri and Bakori Phata outside the PMRDA office. 

They claimed they were recently issued notices that their lands will be acquired. However the locals alleged the land acquisition is in favour of some builders and PMRDA has not decided any compensation model. 

However PMRDA  officials claimed the road development in Wagholi will benefit the locals.
