Vice-principal of school booked for molesting teacher

The police have booked the accused under section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC.

Pune: A vice-principal of a school located in Manjri has been booked by the Hadapsar police for allegedly molesting a fellow teacher. The incident which took place over a month back and was registered at the Hadapsar police station on Monday.

The accused was identified as Suresh Pandurang, 58, who molested a 40-year-old teacher of the same school. The incident took place over a month back in the laboratory of the school.

The complainant alleged that the accused was eyeing her from last three months and always tried to touch her inappropriately during their conversations. In September, the vice-principal called her alone in the lab and molested her.

Vishnu Pawar, Police Inspector, Hadapsar police station said, “We have booked the case against the accused. But the case needs to be investigated, then only we can confirm whether the vice principal has committed the act or has been framed.”
