Varsity signs MoU for data security

Pune: In order to protect digital data of the university, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has signed a MoU called ‘Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity’ with a south-based renowned university for data security.

A group of selected staff under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Nitin Karmalkar was recently sent to the university to enquire about all the necessary measures to be taken for data security, after which both universities agreed to sign a memorandum.

According to this agreement, it ensures that all the data stored digitally will be secured from any kind of mishap. It will be even protected from hacking or any kind of malpractices said university officials.
